Success for Re-Gen Robotic’s ‘Rising Star’ Lauren
Ulster University has announced the names of people chosen to study their Master’s Course M(Sc) Global Strategies for Environmental Health and Sustainability, and included on that shortlist is Lauren Critcher, Environmental Health & Safety Compliance Officer at Re-Gen Robotics.
Lauren, who will complete her BSc(Hons) Environmental Health and Safety (with Diploma in Professional Practice) at Ulster University, in June, was named as one of the students chosen to take the course, starting this September 2020.
The programme focuses on the global role of Environmental Health in protecting communities and delivering a healthy, sustainable future.
Lauren has previous experience working in the hazardous waste industry, maintaining high levels of compliance and safety on-site and has also completed six months in her post as Environmental Health & Safety Compliance Officer, with Re-Gen Robotics, the only no-man entry, ATEX robotic tank cleaning company in the British Isles.
In her time there, Re-Gen Robotics has been awarded two major industry safety awards, including the Safety Technology Award at the 2020 Global Tank Storage Awards, in Rotterdam in March 2020, for revolutionising safety in the tank terminal industry and highly commended for Explosion proof, robotic tank cleaning technology in the PPTex Innovation category, at the Hazardex Awards in February 2020.
Although Lauren cannot celebrate her achievement with her university cohorts, her team at Re-Gen Robotics will raise a glass with her, to mark her success. She said: “It’s a great honour to have been chosen to study the Master’s degree and also very satisfying that all my effort has been recognised.”
Congratulating her, Managing Director Fintan Duffy said: “Lauren’s achievement is a fitting testament to the professionalism, commitment and hard work, she puts in to her job every single day. We are all extremely proud of her and will endeavour to do what we can to support her in her career at Re-Gen Robotics.”
